Job Description:

Kane Communications is looking to hire a project manager for structured cabling work in New Jersey.  This position would be a full time, salary position with PTO, medical and retirement benefits.  This position would report to the Operations Manager located at the Trenton, NJ office with the ability to work from home.

Job Duties:
  • Perform a kick-off meeting with the estimator of the project after reviewing the specifications & drawings
  • Coordinate all project activities including but not limited to scheduling, procuring materials & equipment, preconstruction submittals, project tracking & job costing, change orders, and project close-outs
  • Perform site inspections & estimates / proposals on smaller size projects
  • Assist in reviewing contracts pertaining to the SOW
  • Provide monthly cost to complete / WIP reports
  • Utilize Kane project management programs and software
Education/Skill Requirements:
  • Must possess a High School diploma or GED equivalency
  • Formal project management certification such as PMP or BICSI RTPM preferred
  • Must have (5) years’ experience in telecommunications or related trades in the construction field
  • Must be proficient with basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & MS Project)
  • Must have a good work ethic with a desire to constantly improve
  • Must have basic leadership skills with a professional and positive approach to managing people
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and crews simultaneously
  • Must possess a valid driver license with a clean driving record
