We are now seeking to add several Low Voltage Estimators for our structured cabling department. We are open to candidates who desire a fully remote position or would like to work in one of our offices. These are full-time salaried positions that include PTO, health benefits, and a 401k with company match.

Job Duties:

Review the specifications & drawings thoroughly and submit required RFI’s.
Perform a complete take-off electronically based on the provided RFP documentation.
Acquire project pricing on materials through the proper distribution channels.
Develop an estimate based on a well-defined scope of work & bill of materials.
Generate a professional and accurate proposal to send out to the client.
Perform weekly follow ups with clients pertaining to pending proposals.
Attend a kick-off meeting (virtually) with the operations team after the award of a project.
Find out what the client’s needs are.
Research materials, equipment, and labor costs.
Gather quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
Assess the levels of risk on project.
Analyze company data, exchange rates and prices using software packages.

Education/Skill Requirements:

Must possess a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
Must have at least (3) years’ experience in the low voltage industry.
Individuals preparing for Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) certifications would be a plus.
Formal training with estimating software preferred.
Experience with Bluebeam take-off-software or similar software would be a plus, but we are willing to train.
Field experience in security, audio/visual telecom or fire alarm is a plus,
Familiar with subcontractor requirements.
Strong math aptitude.
Must be able to work on multiple projects/estimates simultaneously.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, MS Project, and Teams.
